Sleep paralysis: Develop better sleeping habits to get better sleep. Try to go to bed at the same time each night. Don't read or watch TV in bed. Exercise during the day and not at night. Discuss these issues with a sleep specialist.

Get evaluated: You clearly have a sleep disorder. With the sleep paralysis, one possible answer is narcolepsy, and a sleep study should reveal cause, which will lead to treatment and control.
