Amoebic infection: Naegleria fowleri is an amoeba which can cause primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM). This is a disease affecting the central nervous system and usually occurs after some WARM water exposure like swimming in a pond (think of all that stuff floating in the water). I'm wondering 'how' you received this diagnosis? If it is a real diagnosis you need to see a doctor right away, preferably an ID doc

This is pretty: dog gone rare. I would suggest that you would be a very ill person if you had a N. fowleri infection. N. fowleri infection causes primary amebic meningoencephalitis which destroys brain tissue. Sx's usually begin within 2 to 15 days of exposure & may include sudden fever, severe headache, neck stiffness, nausea / vomiting, light sensitivity, feeling tired, confusion, loss of balance,>>
