Maybe anther C/S: Vbac(vaginal birth after c sections) were being done frequently several years ago, but due to complications, liability, and the age old question to induce with Pitocin (oxytocin) or not?, has caused a significant reduction in vbac's. Most ob's are doing repeat c/sections with subsequent deliveries.

Depends: Depending on the reason for the 1st C/S a VBAC for a subsequent delivery may or may not be realistic. If your pelvic shape/baby size/ baby presentation (breach/transverse/etc) a C/S may be needed. If it is a simple head down, normal sized baby it might be possible. Most centers would watch you with a surgical suite ready if the need for a C/S is dictated by events during labor.
