How should i prepare to be tested for bell's palsy?

Few tests: Usually facial nerve paralysis is pretty obvious. Bells palsy is a type of facial paralysis caused by viral inflammation of the facial nerve. Testing is done to look for other possible causes of paralysis that are treated differently such as a blood test for lyme disease or other tick borne illnesses or an MRI to look for possible growths pressing on the facial nerve.

Bell's Palsy: Most resolve within 1 - 2 months. Treatment is usually corticosteroids and +/- treatment with an anti-viral, acyclovir. There are no good operative treatments.
