Uvular swelling: Hello. A trans esophageal echocardiogram or (tee) requires the passage of an endoscope through the mouth, throat into the esophagus to view the heart from a different than normal angle. As the procedure was being performed, I suspect your uvula was irritated. This should subside with liquids and time but if a few days pass, I might recommend a dose of steroids.
