Dysphagia: Greetings. The swallowing difficulty may be related to a stricture in your esophagus or a cricopharyngeal muscle spasm. These areas can be easily evaluated with a barium swallow examination. A GI specialist or a Surgeon usually can treat this with an esophageal dilation if indicated. See your doctor for the X-ray order.
