A 32-year-old member asked:
How much radiation harm is a chest and belly x-ray for a one-year-old child?

General Surgery 58 years experience
Practically none: This is always a frequent question from concerned parent, which is understandable, first the doctor will never order if it is not indicated, second the amount of radiation is so small that will not harm the child , and vital organs will always be protected by lead shields.
