Chemical burn: It is normal to get a chemical burn when caustic agents are applied to soft tissues. The tissue has been damaged.. It can take time to heal. The redness, soreness, and chemical burn should be a warning of what lies ahead if you continue. Dipping tobacco is quite carcinogenic.
