No effective options: You could get some estrogen from dietary sources. Yams are know to contain estrogen similar to what is contained in prescription medications. However, a woman would need to consume 24 pounds of yams each day to just to get the lowest effective dose of estrogen usually prescribed for menopausal women. There are no reliable and safe non presciption forms of estrogen replacement.
