How can you stop your teen from smoking? is it impossible?

Probably: Thousands are still smoking, knowing full well that they may be commiting slow suicide. I have tried to get my much loved son-in-law to stop. He knows all the answers but it makes no difference. It is an extremely severe addiction. The only person that can stop is the smoker if the willpower is there.
