Does taking zoloft (sertraline) harm my unborn baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Don't listen to the lawyer ads. There is no evidence for birth defects from zoloft (sertraline). It has been the antidepressant of choice for pregnant women for the last ten years because of the largest data base of babies born showing to clear effect. Such the ads naming it. There's a rate of birth defects in all and zoloft (sertraline) doen't increase that risk. Being depressed and not taking care of oneself is a risk.
