A member asked:

Does it affect your baby if you are pregnant and have a cat scan of your brain?

NO: Only your head is exposed to radiation , rest o the body ( abdomen ) is covered by lead shields , fetus is not exposed to radiation, and your doctor will not order if the test is not indicated, ask your doctor.

Maybe: Depends on age of fetus. Tell technologist you are pregnant so you can be imaged safely. They will probably wrap you with lead material to shield the baby.
