I can discuss: Seborrheic dermatitis of scalp (but I am not sure if you are referring to the external ear canal) or the external ear itself. If OTC dandruff shampoo doesn't work, your dermatologist can discuss treatment options wi you. This may include options like Rx strength hydrocortisone, desonide or fluocinolone. Antifunfal shampoo or oral meds, metronidazole, photochemotherapy are some options.

I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp & ears. I've also been having issues with dry, flaky, peeling, itchy, irritated, sometimes red and burning skin in butt crack.
I have very severe itching and flaking of the scalp. I was told by a dermatologist that I "might" have sebborheic dermatitis. What shampoos can I use to help with the problem of stubborn itching? I've tried head and shoulders and demorex.
