Chin cleft: Rather than obesity / jowls, correct? A plastic surgeon can do this for you, but first ask about a dozen of your closest friends whether you should. At least several of them consider it distinctive for you. Ms. Lovato isn't complaining, and Ben Affleck and the dozens of other Hollywood male leads who sport chin clefts aren't seeking to alter their looks. Only you truly know what's right.

Double Chin: It may be very difficult to lose the fat in your double chin. If weight loss by diet and exercise doesn't do the trick, you may want to consider liposuction or platysmaplasty, or even a facelift. At you age, if you don't have excess skin, liposuction is likely the best place to start. See a good, reputable facial cosmetic surgeon who can give you specifics regarding what's in your best interest.

Chin or neck?: Many people describe fullness in the neck as a double chin. A cleft is very different. Treatment options for the neck include facelift, Smartlipo, liposuction, lipodissolve, Ultherapy, Venus Legacy, Coolsculpting and the list goes on. Consult with a plastic surgeon can help you sort out your best option. If you have a cleft chin, I recommend leaving it alone.

Reduce the fat: A "double chin" is usually caused by excess fat in the area just under the bony chin. The best way to reduce this is to lose weight. Sometimes, weight reduction is not successful, either because the weight comes off elsewhere only or because the loose skin left after the fat is gone simulates a "double chin." Liposuction and face/neck lifts can dramatically help in this case.
