Maybe: If your child received a live vaccine such as mmr, chickenpox, or nasal influenza vaccine, consult the cancer patient's doctor. Most other vaccines are killed and so pose no risk to a cancer patient.

It depends.: If a baby gets shots for immunity, it is protection, but the child's immune system is still developing, and depending on how old the baby is, not all the shots may have been given. Cancer patients are often immunocompromised, and can have infectious diseases that can be caught by the baby, and the baby can have a sickness that can affect a cancer patient. Best see a doctor to take precautions.
