What age are you before they suggest you have a breast exam?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below:: If you are having any symptoms such as a lump or breast discharge, you should be examined right away. There is some debate in the medical community about the best time to start if you are not symptomatic. The American Congress of Ob/Gyns recommends that clinical breast exams start at age 20. The American Cancer Society recommends beginning clinical breast examination at age 40. Best wishes!
