Depends: Depends on the type of injury, for a fracture 4 weeks, soft tissue injury is variable depending on the type. Mallet finger requires 6 weeks of splinting never removing the splint, collateral ligament injuries benefit from early motion so less time, central slip rupture requires 4 to 6 weeks, see a hand surgeon.
