Depends on type: There are different type of hemorrhoidectomies. The traditional type will take 4-6 weeks of pain especially when having a bowel movement. While the minimally invasive Staple hemorrhoidectomy is painless and done as out patient. The laser or infra-red spot welding usually not painful nor is the rubber banding for the internal hemorrhoid only.
