Can chlorthalidone affect fatty liver disease in any way?

No: Chlorthalidone does not have an effect on the liver and does not cause fatty liver. Fatty liver or steatohepatosis can be due to Alcohol or other causes (medications, obesity, diabetes, malnutrition, etc).
