Yes: Yes they can . IEM s ( inborn errors of metabolism ) can present in teenagers . They may manifest as acute or chronic neuropsychiatric disorders like psychosis, confusion ,hallucinations ,late onset personality changes ,mild mental retardation and also as peripheral neuropathy or seizures .
