Yes it can: Depends as well on the type of antibiotic and the type of symptom, if it is just itching , it could be a side effect of the drug not a true allergy, but if the itching is intense, rash is present / hives, you need to see your doctor. At any rate please hold the medicine, call or see your doctor and discuss the symptom, dosage and type of antibiotic
