Yes, usually pale: A lipoma is composed of fatty tissue and is a common soft tissue benign tumor. Lipomas are generally found underneath the skin in the fatty layer, are soft to the touch, usually movable, and are generally painless. The color of a lipoma is pinkish yellow and pale, so it does not usually impart a color to the overlying skin. If bothersome, a lipoma can be removed surgically as an outpatient.
