Skin color varies...: Normal skin color varies a great deal from person to person. The color is not important as long as the person is healthy. Routine blood tests, done at some of the routine check-ups, can rule out anemia in cases where a person seems pale (that means check-ups are important to do). Also, a person who doesn't get much sunlight is likely low in vitamin d, which can be confirmed with the blood test.

Don't listen: Don't listen to them. If you feel well then there's nothing wrong. If you stay out of the sun you will stay looking young longer.
