A member asked:

Docs, could a person live without yeast/candida in their gut?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Of course: Please be careful. Most of what you read about "gut flora" and especially "candida" online is fake -- even if looks like real science. If you let someone persuade you that you have a subtle "systemic candida" infection, or that you need to be carefully balancing your intestinal microbes, you'll believe you need all kinds of things you don't, and will never feel well again. Be discerning.
