Short answer - yes: it can. but more often, the stomach is not damaged to the point of ulceration.

Yes: Aspirin interferes with the inherent natural defense of the stomach to protect itself from the corrosive acid which it produces for breakdown of food. Usually chronic and prolonged use of aspirin can cause an ulcer but so can acute high doses as in an overdose. I would advise against it.
