Hip pointer: This specific symptom most commonly is caused by bursitis, which can arise from twist, torque, blunt trauma, or even infection rarely. Hip joint inflammation has a pattern of pain that is different - more associated with movement. Try applying a cold pack for ten to twenty minutes several times a day. If not contraindicated taking an NSAID daily for a week can also help.
