Dr. Johanna Fricke answered

Specializes in Pediatrics - Developmental and Behavioral

Set clear consistent: limits by telling your toddler what behaviors you want at her language level & modeling them. Choose your battles. Talk with, not at, your child, getting down to her level & making eye contact. Read to her; play with her.without being distracted by your phone. Have family meals. Read "Little People " by Dr. Ed Christopherson. It explains " Catch'em being good" & effective use of time-out.
