Whenever they want: Sleep is going to be thrown off during any illness in a baby or child. Rest is an important part of them getting better though. So let them sleep when they want to during an illness. You can straighten out day and night when they are back in good health. It's a great time to do extra cuddling, take a nap with them and give extra love and attention.
