A member asked:

Can docs please explain are bordetella vaccines given orally or injected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Injected: I don't recall any point in the past 3 decades where there was any move to develop a bordetella (pertussis) vaccine for oral use. The structure of the immune system and the areas needed to generate protection would not be available by this route.
