Yes it should: The pudendal nerve is a peripheral nerve enervating the perineal region. Contusion to this nerve can occur with a bicycle seat, horseback riding, or surgical management of femoral fractures with traction applied over a perineal post. Areas of diminished sensation in the perineal region generally improve over time, indicative of pudendal nerve recovery. Permanent injury would be rare, but possible.
