Lifelong: This results in brain hemorrhage and the damage is proprtional to the severity and the site of the bleeding. If severe enough, it could result in death. I might add that if this is known to have happened, it is a criminal offence.

Varies: This can result is death from brain hemorrhage relatively quickly. In some cases the infant can survive the initial injury only to face life with cerebral palsy.They often suffer seizures, poor health and die before they reach their teens.
