Shoulder pain: Shoulder pain is frequently caused by arthritis in the shoulder which can include a torn rotator cuff, a tear of the labrum, or impingement of the joint. Alternatively, inflammation of the rib head as it attaches to the spine can cause back and shoulder pain. Finally, a ruptured in the neck can cause pain in the back and shoulder.
