I have been reading about danger of ct scan and the cancer risk later in life. i had one chest ct. is it possible to get cancer later from that ct ?

Not likely: We are all exposed to radiation all the time in low amounts. Ct scans do expose a person to small amount of radiation, but these tests provide a lot of useful information. It is not likely that you will get cancer, that you were not going to get otherwise, by having one ct.
