Essentially true!: Britain is essentially rabies-free since 1922 when all dogs had to be quarantined before entry. It was free of rabies in 1902 until wwi soldiers brought infected dogs into the country. Only 26 have died in the uk since 10-2 and they were infected abroad. So, stop worrying. People have been honest with you and the is close to 100% safety from rabies. Both are good news. Best!
