Many can be: Huntington's disease and early onset alzheimers are highly inherited. Late onset alzheimers, vascular and Parkinson's all have some genetic component.

Some AD and FTD: Some fiamilies may have clusters of alzheimers disease(ad) starting before 50 years generally caused by presenilin genes; there are some genetic links to frontotemporal dementia as well.

Every illness we: Humans can get is at least partly related to our genetics, so all of them. But that is not the same as inherited eye color. It's much more complicated. So if a parent has dementia, do not assume you will inherit it.
