No: A non-pregnant person doesn't need to change dietary habits as long as they are healthy habits. A primary care doctor can help decide if the weight is healthy, because women come in all shapes and sizes. It's fine to start taking prenatal vitamins to make sure one is getting enough folate (folic acid) (but one can also ask her ob-gyn doctor if her current diet already has enough folate (folic acid)).
