Avoidance: Avoiding cashew is the only current treatment for allergy to cashew. Injectable Epinephrine is often prescribed to use in case of an accidental exposure to a food allergen such as cashew that results in severe allergy symptoms or anaphylaxis. If the Epinephrine is needed, the patient still needs to go to the er for further evaluation and treatment.
