A member asked:

Sometimes randomly, my head will throb for a few seconds and then go away. it isn't an intense pain, but it is a bit uncomfortable.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Throbbing: Throbbing in the head often is related to a pulsation in an artery, but it usually lasts much longer than a few seconds. Fleeting discomfort could come from an irritable scalp nerve or muscle. Discuss this symptom with your physician who will check your blood pressure and order any other tests that he/she deems appropriate.
