Possibly: The signal to ovulate is given about 14 days after ovulation. When you are not ovulating, no signal is ever given so the lining of your uterus isn't all shed once a month. The lining will start to bleed here and there and then somewhere else. This causes waxing and waning bleeding and irregular bleeding. After you have it checked out, birth control pills can regulate your bleeding.

You need doctor.: You are trying to get pregnant and no luck. This is the point. To answer this question many elements of reproductive system has to be evaluated. Length of your cycle and weather you ovulate or not is just one of them. It may be even not the cause of problem. My advise is not crack your head with many questions you will never get right answer/solution for. Go to reproductive Gynecologist for help.
