Post op instructions: All wisdom tooth extractions are not the same, so ask your surgeon after the procedure is done. As a general rule of thumb, you'd like to wait until the socket fills in before eating crunchy foods (like nuts) that can get lodged into the wound and may be difficult to wash out.

7-10 days: You do not want to eat anything that can get caught in the surgical site or cause you pain. You should have soft foods on the day of surgery and the day following surgery. You should prevent dehydration by taking fluids regularly. Try not to miss a meal. Make sure to avoid popcorn, nuts and seeds for 7-10 days after your wisdom tooth extraction.
