Rectal tumor: Yes, many rectal cancers produce no symptoms and are discovered during digital or proctoscopic screening examinations. Occult bleeding is detected via a fecal occult blood test (fobt) in 26% of all cases. Bleeding could start when any blood vessel is damaged in or around the rectum.
