I have rhuematic fever w/severe carditis. is it possible to lose consciousness while sleeping? our house alarm went off for 3 hrs. without me knowing.

Thus means acute inflammation of the heart tissues. Once you pass the acute phase, it is no more carditis and is then called rheumatic heart disease.
