Difficult swallowing: Always chew food thoroughly and consider drinking plenty of water along with the food. You should probably see a gastroenterologist for a "swallowing evaluation" procedure.

Needs evaluation: Patient cannot continue to go without eating does the problem still exist with soft foods or liquids. Sometimes a small stroke can onlyaffect the swallowing muscles . There are swallowing tests to diagnose n therapy can make it better, but if patients choking you don't want food to get into the lugs, get a ent/ neurol eval.
