A member asked:

What can one do if they have a higher heart rate after discontinuing geodon (ziprasidone) treatment? heart rate is up thirty points, and tried other medications

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: For many people that can improve with time. If it has been more than a month and your heart rate remains elevated (above 100) i would actually consult a cardiologist. They should at least get an ekg to see the electrical conduction of the heart. There is a group of medications called beta blockers that are great at reducing heart rate. But this should be evaluated further first.
