A member asked:

Can geodon (ziprasidone) and celexa together change heart rate controlled by the autonomic nervous system? feel heart rate elevated during withdrawal from both

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Geodon (ziprasidone) has been associated with a prolonged qt interval on ekg tests as well as doses of Celexa 40 mg a day and above. Both meds could together could potentially cause the risk for developing arrhythmias to increase. If you have stopped both meds recently, then you may experience some changes in the electrical conductivity in your heart which could be perceived as an elevated heart rate.
