Postpartum bleeding: Normal postpartum bleeding is from 4-6 weeks. Are you breast feeding? Are you using birth control? If the bleeding is heavy you might have "subinvolution of the placental site". This will not show up on ultrasound. It is an unusual condition. More likely, the area in the uterus where your placenta was attached is just taking a bit longer to heal. I would recommend just observation for now.
