Allergic bronchitis: If you have seen and been examined by your doctor and they think your chest symptoms are due to weather, dust, and hay season, then you likely fall into the category of allergic bronchitis, which is not contagious. It is not a true infection but a reaction to the allergens in your environment. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, inhalers and corticosteriods may help but talk to your doctor.
