A Hairy Situation: Unfortunately, rogaine (minoxidil) treats only a specific type of hair loss, and will not likely help this problem. At best, your results would be temporary and not result in permanent restoration of the hair. If stress is the true culprit, deal with that first and you will likely see the problem fix itself.

Hair loss: Hair loss due to stress many times is not permanent and will grow back on its own. Rogaine (minoxidil) has only been shown to cause hair growth in androgen (testosterone) dependent hair loss.
