Because of their : Biological sex, as it is expected, a transgendered female can become pregnant, if her hormones are adequate for that. It is not known that transgendered males can ever get pregnant, even when taking female hormones which will change their secondary sexual attributes, but not their capacity to get pregnant and procreate.

Depends on anatomy..: If a genetic female is taking testosterone to masculinize, it IS possible to have a pregnancy. We caution our patients that testosterone is NOT a birth control method, and hope that pregnancies occurring in transmen are pregnancies by choice rather than by surprise. For genetic males, we recommend banking sperm before taking hormones to transition.
