Ever since i was diagnosed with "minor" acid reflux i've been having a lot of skipped heartbeats. should i be worried? cardiologist isn't worried.

Not related: Although both acid reflux and cardiac arrhythmias can cause symptoms of chest discomfort, they are not related. Minor acid reflux doesn't cause cardiac arrhythmia. If you have had the appropriate cardiac workup and your cardiologist isn't worried, then i would trust their opinion.

Right: Your cardiologist examined you and probably did some tests. If he/she feels there is nothing to worry about, most likely there is nothing to worry about. Actually it probably has nothing to do with your reflux, unless the anti reflux medications are somehow affecting you. Ask your doctor if it ok to take magnesium. If yes, 500 mg of magnesium often will get rid of your palpitations. But check.
